For one weekend this April, the Denver Post Colorado Women’s Expo will bring together thousands of women to sample and experience the products and services that are important in their lives. In this second year, an anticipated 6,000+ women will receive timely advice, sample new products and receive advice and ideas from a great line-up of headline speakers in the areas of Finance/Career, Style/Fashion, Health/Fitness, as well as Home/Food. More than 250 companies are expected to exhibit in the 100,000 sq. ft. Colorado Convention Center.

The Denver Post Colorado Women’s Expo has been created and designed to achieve the marketing and communications objectives of companies that desire to reach and impact women. After a successful inaugural year in 2008, (a remarkable 95.21% plan to attend the Colorado Women’s Expo in 2009), the Denver Post Colorado Women’s Expo has enhanced and improved the event model to take advantage of recommendations from exhibitors and attendees alike.
The 2009 Expo will feature two intimate theaters on the show floor, each stage having its own programming. One stage will focus on fashion, finance, and fitness while the other stage will spotlight cooking, creative design and crafting. Celebrity speakers will be featured along with other regional experts. More than 30 different sessions will be presented over the two days assuring a broader appeal and greater floor traffic throughout the day.

A minimum of 1,000 column inches of full color display advertising will be run in The Denver Post valued at more than $290,000. The Expo will also be promoted through a special section on April 26, 2009 in the entire 600,000+ Sunday Denver Post distribution, with a 5,000 overrun for Expo distribution, plus on line exposure providing a minimum of one million impressions on the Post website.

The Colorado Women’s Expo will have two exclusive top-level Presenting Sponsors. As a top level sponsor, the Presenting Sponsor will be recognized through below-the-event-name trademark placement, (“Denver Post Colorado Women’s Expo presented by Qwest and Bellco Credit Union” in a $500,000 promotional campaign including The Denver Post (1,000+ column inches of display advertising) The Presenting Sponsor will also have Presenting recognition in the 2009 Official Program, a special supplement distributed to the full 600,000 Sunday Denver Post circulation, with a 6,000 overprint for Expo attendees. The Presenting Sponsors will receive 400 sq feet of premium exhibit space at the expo and will be recognized as the name presenter of one of the two Presentation Theaters, the Expo’s most visible assets.
Associate Sponsor
Associate Sponsors of The Colorado Women’s Expo will receive brand recognition with in all print promotion within The Denver Post ( 1,000+ column inches of display advertising), recognition in the 2009 Official Program, a special supplement distributed to the full 600,000 Sunday Denver Post circulation, with a 6,000 overprint for Expo attendees. As an Associate Sponsor, your company will receive 200 sq feet of premium exhibit space at the expo and will have the first right to select one of the headline speakers to be recognized as their exclusive presenter.
Supporting Sponsor
Supporting Sponsors of the Expo will receive recognition in the 2009 Official Program, a special supplement distributed to the full 600,000 Sunday Denver Post circulation, with a 6,000 overprint for Expo attendees. As a Supporting Sponsor, your company will receive 100 sq feet of premium exhibit space at the expo and will have the first right to select one of the Expo’s featured areas or programs as their asset and will be recognized as their exclusive presenter. Options include: Iron Chef Cooking Demonstrations, Expo Information Desk, Gift Bag promotion, Automotive Showcase or the $2-Off Discount Coupon program.
Colorado Women's Expo Attendee Profile
The Colorado Women’s Expo conducted extensive research on its 2008 inaugural event audience. This information establishes a profile of a highly desirable group of well educated women between the ages of 25-54 with household incomes of $60,000 or greater.
Gender: 97.8% of attendees are female and 2.2% are male.
Age: The event is attended primarily by people between the ages of 25 - 54 years of age (70%), one of the most active times of discretionary spending. The specific breakdown is as follows: 18-24 (7.67%); 25-34 (17.25%); 35-44 (22.52%); 45-54 (29.87%); 55-64 (17.89%); 65+ (3.83%)
Marital Status: Attendees of the Expo are equally divided between those who are married (44.57% and those who state they are single (44.73%). The remaining balance reported they have “significant others” (5.43%); “partners” (2.08%); or are in other relationships (2.88%).
Income: Upper income ranges dominate the attendee profile of the Colorado Women’s Expo with 61% reporting household incomes of $60,000 or greater. Of those responding, 14.7% earn less than $34,000; 23.96% earn $35,000-$59,999; 26.68% earn $60,000-$89,999; 15.97% earn $90,000-$109,999; and 18.53% earn $110,000 or greater.
Education: Expo attendees are well educated with 83% having attended college or receiving graduate or post graduate degrees. The results are as follows: 12.3% have graduated from high school; 27.32% have attended some college; 31.47% have graduated from college; 9.58% have taken some post graduate course work; and 14.7% have earned post graduate degrees.
Home Ownership: Approximately 77% are Colorado homeowners the majority of whom have lived in the state for ten or more years (71.41%).
